Jack in the Box (also called the "Clown Box" or "Surprise Box") is a hand-cranked mechanical music box. The core gameplay involves turning the handcrank on the side, which starts the music box mechanism playing a melody (the most classic being "Pop Goes the Weasel").
When the music reaches a certain point, the lid suddenly pops open, and a plush toy (a clown, animal, etc.) is ejected by a spring, creating a "surprise/minor scare" effect.
Our music box mechanism is the key component controlling this "pop-out action"!
The "pop-out timing" of this mechanism is fixed, controlled by the position of a protrusion on the sound tube, ensuring perfect synchronization with the music beat each time. There are 2 options:
option 1,Jack out of the box at the middle of music
option 2,Jack out of the box at the end of music (This style is more commonly used.)
Besides the classic clown, there are now many IP collaboration models (such as Curious George the monkey, DC Joker, etc.), and even limited editions themed around Halloween and Christmas.
Its prototype can be traced back to 16th-century Europe, originally a religious toy with pop-out puppets, which later evolved into the music box form we are familiar with.
